I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t creating, whether it was being taught to knit by my mother when I was around 10 years old, or creating daisy chains with my brothers and sisters while we played in the garden. Of course we didn’t know that we were being creative, we were just amusing ourselves. Both of my parents were extremely creative. My mother was a talented dressmaker, knitter, crocheter and much more. My dad? Well what he couldn’t do with a hammer and a nail and a piece of timber wasn’t worth doing. With three children all under the age of four they needed to stretch the purse strings as much as possible. So “needs must” as they say.
I’m not sure when, simply enjoying making things turned into a passion for me, it just seems to always have been part of who I am.
Apart from all of that, I am a wife, mum, a grandmother, teacher of card making and much more. I have two cats who sleep a lot! I run weekly classes from my home in Croydon North, Victoria, Australia and if you live nearby, why not join one of my small friendly groups and learn more about the wonderful hobby of paper crafting.
